Meet our team of passionate healers and learn about the expertise that makes Transcending Health unique.

Carlee "Bee" Beaston is a Licensed Massage Therapist and wellness coach at Transcending Health in Charlottesville. Her bodywork centers on deep tissue massage and structural integration, working through the fascial system to ease long-held tension, restore alignment and help the body move more freely.
Bee pairs hands-on sessions with practical wellness coaching, so the progress made on the table carries into daily habits around movement, recovery and stress. Whether you are managing chronic tightness, recovering from hard training or simply want to feel more at ease in your body, she meets you where you are and builds from there.
Deep tissue massage works slowly into the deeper layers of muscle and fascia. It is often used for stubborn tension in the neck, shoulders, back and hips. Deep does not have to mean painful. Bee adjusts pressure with your feedback throughout the session, and you can ask for lighter work at any time.
Coaching sessions focus on simple, realistic habits that help relief last between visits, such as movement breaks, recovery routines and stress management. Wellness coaching is $150 per hour. A 30-minute Community Support coaching option is $75, with proceeds going to the Unified Wellness Project, our nonprofit partner. Learn more on our community wellness page.
Clients who see Bee often have stubborn tension in the neck, shoulders, back or hips, are recovering from hard training, or want structural integration to work on posture and alignment through the fascial system. Others book wellness coaching with her, on its own or alongside massage, for support with movement breaks, recovery routines and stress.
Your first visit starts with a short conversation about what brought you in, where you feel tension and how you like pressure. New clients usually book therapeutic massage with evaluation so Bee can assess before planning deeper work. During the session, tell her if the pressure is too much; deep work should never require you to hold your breath or brace. Not sure whether deeper or slower work suits you? Our guide to myofascial release vs deep tissue massage compares the two. Arrive a few minutes early, and if you are new, create your free client account on our registration page first.
Therapeutic massage with evaluation is $130, deep tissue is $150, restorative massage is $130, and any 60-minute session can be extended to 90 minutes for half the hourly rate. Structural integration on the Manuthera 242 table is $220 for 60 minutes, $110 for 30 and $55 for 15. Massage and coaching can be combined in a month-to-month membership or a 6-Week Restoration Plan to lower the per-session cost, and CareCredit financing is accepted.
Clients come back to Bee because she listens first and then works with real focus. She can go deep when your body needs it, yet she adjusts pressure the moment you ask, so the work feels productive rather than punishing. Her coaching background means you leave with a plan, not just a good hour on the table. If you want massage in Charlottesville that gets to the root of long-held tension and helps you move more freely, Bee is a strong place to start.
