Editorial Policy
This page explains how we write, check and update the health and wellness information on transcendinghealth.net. Our goal is simple: give people in Charlottesville and beyond clear, honest information they can use to make good decisions about their care.
Who writes our content
Our pages are written by the Transcending Health team, led by founder Drew Edmondson. Service pages describe care we actually offer at our clinic at 1445 Rio Road East, Suite 201 F, Charlottesville, VA. We may use writing tools to help draft content, but our team reviews what we publish and is responsible for it.
The two kinds of content on our site
Service pages describe a specific treatment at our clinic: what it is, who it may help, what a session looks like and what it costs. These pages are reviewed with the practitioner who delivers that service, so the details match what you will experience in person.
Learning Center articles are educational guides on pain, recovery, movement and wellness. They explain how a therapy works, what the research says, and when it may or may not be a good fit. Articles link to related services and to outside sources so you can read further.
How we check it
- We review service pages with the practitioners who deliver that care.
- We use plain language, short paragraphs and avoid hype.
- We do not promise results. Words like "may help" are used on purpose, because every body responds differently.
- When we describe research, we aim to rely on reputable sources such as peer-reviewed studies, PubMed and PubMed Central, and public health agencies like the National Institutes of Health.
- We check that outside links still work and point to the source we describe. When a source goes offline, we replace it with an equivalent one or remove the claim.
- Prices, hours and policies are checked against what we offer in the clinic.
How we describe treatments
We name techniques consistently across the site so they are easy to compare. For example, we use "Rolfing" and "structural integration" for the same family of work, and "acoustic wave therapy" and "shockwave" when describing SoftWave. When a therapy has limited or mixed research, we say so.
What our content is not
Our website is for education. It does not diagnose, treat or replace care from your doctor. If you have new, severe or worsening symptoms, please see a licensed medical provider. If you are pregnant, recovering from surgery or managing a medical condition, check with your provider before starting a new treatment.
Updates and corrections
We review key pages regularly and update them when services, prices or best practices change. We also run regular technical checks on the site to catch broken links, outdated pages and errors. If you spot something that looks wrong or out of date, email us at info@transcendinghealth.net or call 434-465-2905. We will look into it and correct it if needed.
Reviews and testimonials
Any client reviews we show come from real clients through public platforms such as Google. We do not write, edit or pay for reviews.
Advertising and independence
We do not accept paid placements in our health content. When we link to another business or resource, it is because we think it is useful to you.
