Personal Training offers individualized exercise programming focused on improving strength, mobility, endurance, and overall physical performance in a safe and supportive environment.
Elevate your fitness journey with personalized training sessions. Every program starts with a Multi-Physio body scan that maps your imbalances, and the rest of your weekly sessions are built out for you on the Restoration Hub platform, 100% catered to your goals. Whether you're new to fitness or aiming to reach new heights, we're here to help you achieve lasting results.
Each 60-minute session is one-on-one with your trainer at our Charlottesville clinic on Rio Road. We open with a short check-in on how your body has felt since the last visit, then move through a warm-up that targets the restrictions found in your Multi-Physio scan. The main block is strength and movement work chosen for your goals: rebuilding a shoulder after a rotator cuff issue, getting stronger for hiking or golf, improving balance and bone density, or simply moving without pain again. Sessions close with mobility or breathing work and a note in the Restoration Hub app so you know exactly what to do before your next visit.
Our trainers work with people who have finished physical therapy but are not yet back to full strength, adults who want to get stronger safely without guesswork, athletes managing training load and recovery, and clients who combine training with clinical massage, SoftWave therapy or cryotherapy so the whole plan works together. No prior gym experience is needed, and every exercise is scaled to what you can do today.
Weeks one and two are about learning the basics well: hip hinge, squat, push, pull and carry patterns at light loads, with breathing and bracing cues so every rep is a good one. Weeks three and four add load and volume gradually while the home program in the app builds consistency between visits. By weeks five and six most clients are training with real intent, repeating their Multi-Physio measures to confirm progress, and deciding with their trainer whether the next block should chase strength, endurance, mobility or a specific sport or life goal.
Your first Multi-Physio scan is the baseline. Every few weeks we repeat key measures such as range of motion, single-leg balance, grip and core endurance, and compare them against that baseline so you can see change in numbers rather than guessing. Workouts, loads and notes live in the Restoration Hub app, which means you can look back at any session, message your trainer with a question, and follow the home program on days you are not in the clinic. When a goal is reached, we set the next one together and rebuild the plan around it.
Training is one part of the restoration model at Transcending Health. Many clients book a clinical massage or assisted stretching session in the same week to keep tissue moving, add SoftWave or orthopedic laser therapy to a stubborn joint, or use Focus Cryo after a hard session to calm inflammation. Because all of it happens under one roof, your trainer can adjust the day's plan based on what the massage therapist or acupuncturist found, and the Sports Recovery Stack packages these services at a lower combined price.
Start with the $75 intro consultation, which includes the Multi-Physio assessment and a written plan. From there choose a single 60-minute session for $120, a 5-session package for $550, or a 10-session package for $1,000. Packages can be folded into a month-to-month membership or combined with other services in a 6-Week Restoration Plan. Book online with the button above or call 434-465-2905. Please give 24 hours notice to reschedule.
What is the Multi-Physio scan? A quick, non-invasive movement and posture assessment that shows where you are compensating, so your program addresses the cause rather than the symptom. How often should I train? Most clients see the best results with one or two sessions a week plus the home program in the app. Can I train if I am in pain? Yes. We work around and gradually through pain-limited movement, and we coordinate with your massage therapist or acupuncturist when hands-on care will help. Do you offer online-only training? Yes. Online program design through the Restoration Hub is available for clients who cannot be in the clinic every week. What should I wear and bring? Athletic clothing, supportive shoes and a water bottle. Everything else is provided.
